There are a few things I miss from back home and these include meat pies (apparently if you’re not Australian you don’t know what these are. I feel the name is quite self explanatory), kitchens with ovens and the all day breakfast.
My friend, sick of my whinging about the lack of brunch places, took me to Good Honest Grub in Ebisu. I already knew before I got there that I was going to murder an Eggs Benedict. And murder I did. Sure, it was a lot more expensive than the typical Eggs Benedict I usually get in Sydney but it for someone who hadn’t had it for a few months, it was worth every yen.
The “Bean Me Up” wrap looked almost equally delicious with lots and lots of greens from their own little farm. I also tried my friend’s banana and kiwi smoothie. Oh my god, it was amazing but I couldn’t justify spending ¥700~ for a smoothie, as glorious as it may be.
If you’re ever after a taste from home, definitely check out Good Honest Grub.
