Eye catching burgers.

Hungry Heaven is only about a 2 minute walk from Meguro station.

Burger place by day, yakiniku restaurant by night. An odd concept but it seems to work.

My friend works in the area and suggested we give their burgers a try. Hungry Heaven’s burger menu is extensive and ranges from your regular cheeseburgers to fish burgers to curry burgers. Most burger sets are about ¥1000 which gets you a burger, chips (regular, large and extra large) and a drink. Not too shabby.

What can I say? These burgers are good. Like, really good. Moist patty, good flavour, nice bun and quality ingredients at a price I like. The chips were decent too, but beware, they are salty little suckers. That glass of water they give you when you’re finished is very welcome.

As tall and as big as these burgers look, they aren’t as big as other places and I was actually able to eat the whole thing which might leave the more ravenous customer a little peckish. However, any restaurant that plays Built to Spill – Carry the Zero (one of my most favourite songs of all time) is a winner in my books.
