Whoopi Goldburger wins the prize for best-named burger restaurant. It makes me wonder why didn’t I think of that? And then actually follow through and open a burger place. Well these guys did and beyond the name that makes me giggle, Whoopi Goldburger serve some pretty mean burgers. And don’t think the clever names stop at the door – most of the burgers have funny names – I ordered the Helena Bonham Burger (avocado burger), there’s the Kevin Bacon burger (no prizes for guessing whats on that) and the Sarah Jessica Burger. You can also order a side of fries or Natalie Potato-man (mashed potatoes with bits of bacon in it – strange because I’m guessing she doesn’t eat bacon) which comes free at lunch time, along with a drink.

It’s a tiny restaurant with counter seating for about 12 and a little outdoor setting which would be nice to sit with a bunch of friends on a good day/evening. I really like the atmosphere here – it’s laid back, the guys that own it are cool and it’s a little bit away from the craziness that is Shibuya so you can stuff your face without hearing the high-pitched shrieks of gyaru.

Even if you don’t find the name as amusing as I do, you should still go here if you like burgers. It’s definitely worth it.

Thank you, Silas for the recommendation and Vivian for being a willing participant in the burger eating. Not that I needed to do much convincing.
